Sharing documents and data files is the most important thing about google drive it is providing the best service for its user .it is a good thing to know about its service. so today I am going to share with you some tips on how to get started and how to take advantage of it.

How To Share A Single File With Specific People.

It is the best way to share data with others use this trick when you know the other email address with whom you want to share.


1. Open your Google Docs, Sheets, or slides. 

2. Click share it shows in the top right corner. 

3. Under “people” in the “share” with other box and open then type the email address of a group or person of anyone you want to share.

4. Now select the option that you want for your sharing person to view, edit, and comment as you want just select it.

5. Now let them know you have shared a file and click done.

You Can Share A Single File Link.

  1. Use this method if you don’t know everyone’s email address or if you are not sure about these people's accounts.
  2. Open Google Docs, Sheets, or slides.
  3. Click Share in the top right corner.
  4. if you open “share with others” then the next r option will appear “Get shareable link” just click it.
  5. Go down and select “anyone with the link’. Here you can choose multiple options for others, comments, and view or edit the file.
  6. Note that the link will open in default on the viewable mode you have to click down to “anyone” and select more for additional options.
  7. A file link will be copied to your clipboard use this link and paste it where you want to share.

Sharing Data Folders. 

You can collaborate with a group of people on a recurring basis choose department or class, I highly suggest to you create a sharing folder or shared drive. Then every data placed in this folder will automatically transfer with the group.

Create a Folder. 


  • On the top, click new > Folder.
  • Choose a name for the folder.
  • Type the name of the folder in google drive on the top select share. 
  • Select  Under “people” and use this option in the share with others type the email address of any person or google group with anyone you want to share.
  • You can Search for any Contact by a name of the person.

Note it, their access level should be selected to “Edit”. It is a way to share your selected data with your contacts you must use the services by google drive because google drive making easy life for professionals.
